Bargaining Continued in Spokane

Fred Meyer and UFCW Local 3000 bargaining committees returned to the table again this week to bargain the Spokane Grocery, CCK and Meat contracts.

What’s New

The company and union bargaining committees discussed their updated economic proposals and counterproposals covering your wages, healthcare, and pension benefits. We made significant progress and are hopeful that by working with the union, we will come to an agreement very soon.

Why it Matters

Bargaining is a process and takes time. We remain committed to the goals of this negotiation:

  • Provide you with a market-competitive wage and package
  • Continue to provide low-cost, high-quality health care and a pension for retirement
  • Keep the business competitive and groceries affordable for our associates and customers

What’s Next

We look forward to productive meetings with the union. We are scheduled to meet again on Tuesday, April 30.

Future updates will be posted on store communication boards, shared in huddles, and online. Thank you for all you do to take care of your customers and each other.
