To our valued Portland-Area Fred Meyer associates,

Thank you for consistently showing the meaning of Our Purpose – to Feed the Human Spirit – by serving our customers, helping our communities, and supporting each other. Your dedication truly makes Fred Meyer great place to be.

Soon, we will begin negotiations on your contracts with UFCW Local 555. I know these negotiations are important to you; they are also very important to me and the company. In that regard, our goals for this negotiation are to:

• Provide you with a market-competitive wage package
• Continue to invest in your affordable and industry-leading healthcare and retirement benefits
• Reach an agreement that is good for our associates and helps to keep groceries affordable for our customers.

Negotiations are about addressing topics where our views might not align and finding common ground.

We will be open and transparent with you, so we’ll share information and updates through your store leadership and on this website as negotiations progress. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your store leader.
