Negotiations Continue

Bargaining Parties Making Progress

Fred Meyer and UFCW Local 3000 bargaining committees met on Thursday, February 15 and Friday, February 16 to discuss proposals related to the Grocery, CCK and Meat contracts for our Spokane associates.

What’s New

The company and union bargaining committees discussed economic proposals and counterproposals covering your wages, healthcare, and pension benefits. We continue to have productive discussions and are making good progress.

Why it Matters

As we have shared before, our goal is to put more money in your pockets with an agreement that includes competitive wages, affordable health care benefits and a pension plan for your retirement.  We understand the negotiation process can be stressful.  We remain optimistic and believe by working together we can reach an agreement that is good for you and keeps groceries affordable in the highly competitive Spokane market.

What’s Next

We look forward to future productive meetings with the union. The union and company scheduled additional meeting dates for the week of April 15.

We remain committed to keeping you updated as we know these negotiations are important to you. Future bargaining updates will be posted on your store communication board, shared in huddles, and online.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment and service to our customers, our communities, and each other.
