Negotiations Update with UFCW Local 555

Negotiations

November 12th, 2021

The Fred Meyer and UFCW Local 555 bargaining committees met on November 10 and 11 to continue discussions. This is the fifth series of meetings with UFCW Local 555 to discuss your new contract.

In this meeting, the company and union exchanged proposals around safety, discussed ideas, and answered questions.

We successfully reached a tentative agreement on workplace safety, which included the creation of a master safety committee to enhance our current store safety committees.

Both committees are engaged, considering ideas and solutions, and working together to secure an agreement that is good for you and the company, too.

We will announce the next meeting dates for the Fred Meyer and Local 555 bargaining committees soon.

Our goal is to reach an agreement that is good for you and provides you with a solid compensation package of wages and benefits. We need to keep our stores competitive, too, to do those things.

We can accomplish both goals by working together with a focus on solutions.

We will keep you up to date as we have more information to share. We will post our updates here or you may receive them from your store leader.

Thank you for all that you do for our customers, our communities, and each other.
